A coughing baby is confronted by a hydrogen bomb. Who wins? Most would say the bomb, but I beg to differ. In this scenario, the baby would win incredibly easily. For our experiment, let’s say that the bomb must kill the baby to win, and the baby must explode the bomb to win. So, even if the bomb exploded and kills the baby, as long as the baby was the cause of the detonation, they would win. In this battle, the baby has the ability to cough rapidly and powerfully, as they are sick. The bomb is specified to be of the hydrogen variety, which is essential here. All the baby has to do is cough on the bomb with enough force to explode the bomb prematurely. You may think this is impossible, but it’s not. Coughing usually isn’t thought of to be very strong, but that’s only an average cough. Allowing the baby to cough is vital because strength is often set in place. However, this baby can go beyond its set limit. Think about this. A body builder can lift 150 pounds. However, if pushed past his limit, he could likely pull off 160. However, this has consequences such as self damage to one’s body, such as a broken bone. This is the same for the baby, just with strain on the throat rather than the spine or arms. So, theoretically, the baby’s cough could absolutely reck a bomb, causing the hydrogen inside to move rapidly and bust open the bomb before landing on solid ground. Although, the baby’s throat would be utterly destroyed and the bomb would burn the little guy to a crisp. However, by the rules of this battle, the baby would still win. Therefore, a coughing baby COULD beat a hydrogen bomb.

Funnily enough, I think this is the post that least obviously shows my age.
